This time, I will try my best

Hey there!

It's been a long while since I have posted in my blog (Slap me for that!) I have been very (x10) busy all through-out this year. I have been busy I was not able to finish the inking and words for the episode two of "lastika zuwarestra". Plus, I was not able to update you on how am I and etc... Feels like I have been left out behind. This time, or should I say next year (to be safe) which is 2011, I will be sharing my unpublished works and graphics plus, I will tell some stories and whatsoever. This is not my New Year's Resolution though, try to base from the image instead!

Anyhow, keep your fingers crossed with me so that I could be back on the mainstream. Although, not much know of this blog, still, what matters is that soon this shall be known (say what?).

Well, I guess that would be all for now. And See you Next Year, which is...2011!

21 @ 27 ...Priceless!

Last August 27, 2010. I have turned into a full pledged man @ 21 (say what?). Although that day was not a good heck of a party for all, at least we were all good to where we at, at that day (Get's?). I was touched to receive such surprise from my students on that day, check them out:

Well, those were from my students (take note: My first batch of students I have handled). To be honest I was not expecting anything but those specialized writings on the board were so so uplifting. I cannot say more, but I do hope memories like these would be programmed into my memory :-)

Woah! The month of july is about to end and, apparently, I have been too very busy with my job and other crafts. Also, my "lastika Suwarestra" episode 2, is on the works and about to be finished...

Lastika Suwarestra : Episode 1

Guys! Finally, I have managed to finish some of the pages for my online comics. Here we get to see one of Lyka's environment and few of the people she deals with everyday. Although, not much action is seen here, still, Check out the first four pages:

OMG! the last day for the month of May!

Here we are again, I've been very very busy plus June's coming and it will be a heck of a very busy month for me since I will be teaching highschool students now. Also, I am still working on the first few pages of my online comic which is "Ang kagulat-gulat na si Lastika Suwarestra". But anyhow, let me just share to you this song that I have heard in a bookstore one afternoon, it's called "Selfish" by Nysnc. This song somehow reminds me of something and at the same time I get to relax when I hear this song:

"Ang kagulat-gulat na si Lastika Suwarestra" is a story about a girl being bullied by almost everyone in her surroundings with very few who sympathizes with her and a very cruel fate, our main character Lyka Suarez thinks that, life's not that fair, although blessed with a very very rich family and good health as well, Lyka thinks that nothing will be very interesting with her miserable life but, that will all change when she come across a pair of goggles that mysteriously falls in her way and her grandfather's old whip vine. With that, she comes to an attempt and asks herself, "Why not make a new version of me, that is, exclusively", she then decides to make an alter-ego and declares herself a new "bully buster/slayer". But that's not it, things will also change for our self-declred hero when she falls for a prank gone wrong. Will she ever redeem herself? will she ever find her justice? and how will she react if she finds out that, not all that bullied her just simply bullies...

My first post for the month of May

It's been a while since I've been sharing stuff for my blog. Although this month is quite pretty hectic, with so many things to do and so many to fix. Yes, it's quite a shame on my part. But now, I would like to be back on the stream with a new brand to offer in my blog. First I have to admit that, I am just an amateur when it comes to Digital artworks(those that I do with photoshop and illustrator) but, I am mostly known by many by my sketching skills, although I don't get to make digital artwork regularly, on the other hand, I have lots of Drawings in stock that I may share, plus, I might be posting my first indie comics here at my blog, but I must have your affirmations first. As of the moment, I only have 5 followers in this blog, if ever, If there will be more followers in this blog, I will start posting my indie comics here, to better show you why I need your affirmations, check this out, on of my drawings:

OMG! last day of April!!!

WOAH! I am so sorry for the delay in my postings, I was just caught up with so many things... Anyway, let me share you this artwork that I made for my Uncle and Aunt's Silver Wedding Anniversary, Check it out:

This was done via adobe phtotshop, and the concept was Grammy inspired, it's called a typographic portrait, I actually looked at a tutorial for this but it did help me :-)

Comic Babes

Today is indeed a good day for me! I was browsing for more artworks when I came across this one, check it out :
This was actually done last January, I was trying my skills on Digital drawing then. Plus I was trying to imagine a fantasy battle between Catwoman and Elektra of Daredevil.

I kinda also made them in my version of style, that's why as you can see, they kinda look different.

Maundy Thursday

Today is Maundy Thursday of the Holy Week of the season of Lent. Traditionally, we do attend the "Bisita Iglesia" every Maundy Thursday night. Unfortunately for this year, we are not able to do that due to some unavailability and some other stuff. On my part, since we can't go for the evening tradition, I made my own version of the "Bisita Iglesia", instead of visiting 7 churches in the evening, I visited 7 churches in the morning. Sounds Odd? well, it was my decision at the first place, not to mention I did some sacrificing by walking and using the PUJs at a minimum level. I even got tanned skin, sunburn, and tan lines plus, a very very sweaty shirt that contains almost 40% of my body fluid. But that was all worth it, since I managed to visit 7 churches, check them out:

April's Revolution

It's been a while since I posted here. Today's April 1, meaning, I begin my countdown before that big day...

Also, Today's April fools and Maundy Thursday of the Holy Week.



Today seems to be the same only, hotter. Plus, the luxury of time of course.

Somebody Help Us!!!

We are all currently struggling to make it to our deadliest deadline yet. I actually don't want to stress myself with the whole turmoil that we have to undergo so I kinda unwinded with Photoshop...Check this out:



Kinda looks like an action movie poster huh? Anyway, things needs to be done and lots of actions are very very needed! Hopefully we could all make it or at least...right? hopefully nobody get's to be offended with the whole concept, so please, no other meaning, okey?

I Will Survive!

Today is my last day at our OJT, March 18, 2010. Today seems to be the usual only, with more pressure since, we have a deadline to beat and our lives is at stake! I feel so frustrated with so many things up to now. But, sometimes I come to think of it that, I guess it's just with me, the way I would direct my life and the way I would make things turn around. Anyhow, I was reading some tutorial and suddenly, something came in to my mind...What If I could control the way the world would go round? or perhaps, What If I had such powers to make my life not the way it is now? or do you believe that we have an equivalent parallel universe? wherein, the world that we are in right now has its equivalent opposite, and so do we? well just check-out the artwork of myself that I made which was brought about those things that came in to my mind:



Right now, we (me and my classmates) are all undergoing a struggle to make it on that day were we get to be recognized and applauded for we have finally fulfilled what we have been struggling for years.

I know, God has many plans for us. Everything happens for a reason, no matter what the reason is. This too will pass :-)

Since I always do some manipulations on myself, this time, I want it it to be with other people, like my friends, classmates, and co-interns. Frustrated

Today seems to be a light day for me but, If I would assess it, this week would surely cost me a lot! I mean, there are so many things to catch up on...plus so many frustrations along the way, I will be ending my OJT this week, meaning, I'll be back on being a full time student, soon. Also, I'm really making the most of my last days in my OJT. Since. I finished my task early, Check out the photo manipulation that I made during my spare time:



Anyway, I think it might take me some time to do some follow-up posts and updates on me since, I might be working full time on some stuff here at school anyway, see on you my next post :-)

I was...Part of a good good Class

This image is from my friend's Facebook accout, Brian Sharma. I opened my Facebook account a while back, and to my surprise, I have so many Notifications about comments of a picture of me, you get the scenario right? Anyway, as I have checked all, they were all pertaining to one photo album, and that is our Grade 1 C moments at Phases Learning Center. Then I suddenly felt an urge to cry and let some tears flow because, those were the days when almost all is very well and all of us are very very happy with each and every day at school and at the same time, I remembered those days I cry because some would pick on me but, those were the days and these are the times. Anyway, going back, two of my friends from higschool and elementary added me up. To my surprise, they still remembered me, Also, one funny thing I've noticed is that, most comments on the photo albums are mostly "OMG, is that me" or "Wow, you still have that pic?" but mainly we all have one comment in common, "We miss those times". Actually, this made my day somehow despite, the fact that I have this depression. I checked the whole album containing this picture and it turned out that my friend Brian borrowed our former 1st grade teacher's scrapbook containing some good good moments of us at 1st grade.

With that, I do hope a reunion would be on the works...

Today seems to ba a balanced day, Good things happened and the things that I didn't expect happening came along. Although, I am quite grateful for this day, I've been struggling due to some unexplainable feelings and stuff, it's either I'm just having hormonal imbalances or just simply sad about so many things. But I've been weighing things down. But today, I came up with an artwork of myself and my other self...get's? Anyway, check this out :



I was actually playing with Photoshop while waiting for some friends to arrive at the library a while back, And the heat here in the Philippines is surely so so hot! and mind you, Holy Week is fast approaching...Time for me to look back and reflect! Agree?

And hopefully, I could surpass this depression that I'm going through right now...

I've always been a fan of the Band "Chillitees". I really like their songs and rhythms and, they are Filipino-made talents which, makes me more proud to be a Filipino! recently, as I was searching for a good song by Chillitees, I came across this video of theirs which is animated, and the song is very good to hear by the way. And the music video is an animation rendered also by Filipino talents. Check it out:



Also, this music video is actually a TV ad for an Appliance Brand :-)

My Wonderland

Today seems to be a not so nice day...And I'm wishing that I'd rather be in Wonderland. Speaking of Wonderland, the new "Alice in Wonderland" is already showing in theatres and I'm dying to see the movie, but I don't have the time to fit it in to my schedule...But anyhow, I did an artwork to somehow cope up with my frustration, check it out:



I used my imagination in coming up with the concept, the color scheme and even casting some characters in it, can you guess who's the mad hatter in the picture?

I'm really excited to watch "Alice in Wonderland" especially in 3D, but anyway, I just have to wait for a good time to watch it :-)

My former vector arts...

Our College night is fast approaching, and so is our preparations. Remember, I have previously posted here a Poster that I made for our event, this time, I made some decors for our stage, the characters were featured in the poster at first, now they are on framed tarps, check them out:



I felt fulfilled with my artworks, and I am pleased with my friends' reception on the featured artworks. I got inspired more, especially now that I could turn my intangible artworks into real-felt ones. Which reminds me, I think I should work on some artworks and have them framed...

You Give Me Something

I was watching American Idol last night. Then, I saw this rendition of "You Give Me Something" by James Morrison. I was quite fascinated with the song because, it reminds me of something and the song puts me in a good mood.



I really find this song awesome!

March it is...

Last march 1, we were all required to attend this Job Fair at the University. Also, we were all quite unsure of whether to apply or not, I mean, not all companies at the job fair are in the field of IT or would only hire programmers, which in our case, not all of us are programmers.



Also, in this photo, we were actually killing time while waiting for the ceremonies to start. By the way, we were sent at the back, so we all had the liberty to have some candid moments here...although this isn't really a candid pic still we just made ourselves look candid...Get's?

I ain't the boy to mess with...

I was playing with Photoshop and my pic...I just kinda felt stressed and frustrated but anyhow, I just wanted to express my angst and stress to those who keeps pulling me down, just see the pic to get the message...

Posing is different from Picture Taking

I was scanning some vids of mine for my Adobe After Effects Experiment and I came across this:



This vid was taken or should I say accidentally taken when we were supposed to have a picture taken, and I also can't recall who took this but definitely, it wasn't me for, I myself is in the video. We actually have lots of these kind of stolen vids of us posing, some are even funnier or just simply candid...

By the way. I added an effect here, just a simple one, can you guess what is it?

Isolated in a way

Today's a busy day for me, And there are so many things to think about, to fix, to work on, and to follow-up. I don't know,but I feel like I should Isolate myself for now...



About the Pic, the office where I am having my OJT is currently undergoing their renovation. As for me, I got curious with the isolated area and with the pic, I kinda looked like under quarantine...

But all is well in terms of health :-)

Can't Let Go

As I was tuning in to YouTube this morning, I saw this related video to what I was watching. Then, I listened to it and I kinda liked it since it's RnB and it's good to listen to. I'm actually fond of RnB songs no matter who sang it, I'm more on the flow and rhythm of the song. Anyway, the title of this good song is "Can't Let Go" by Laurnea and this version is the darkChild Remix, I guess you're familiar with DarkChild, Right? Anyway, Check it out:



I've tried looking for a free download of this song but, it seems that this song is hard to find online, especially if you are looking for its free download. Anyway, if you know a good link to this song's download, let me know.

I Vectored Us Interns!

Part of the task given to me previously was to create a vectored caricatures of us interns and, after a few days I came up with this cute piece of art! Check it out :

This was us before at our OJT

I was scanning some photos at my Flash Drive just a while back and I came across this pic that made me stare at it for while:



This pic was taken during our OJT last May. we were killing time here since we were sent out at that time due to a meeting. And I'm with Marge and Charles here, they were with me during that time. Although I came back to the same company recently for my OJT again, Charles was deployed to another company while Marge was with me along with 7 other interns, Still Marge finished ahead and didn't extend her working hours unlike me.

Oh well, those were the times... But I get to see the two (Marge and Charles) in school every Friday and Saturdays.

When you think it's always...You

Hey there!

I was actually doing a photoshop artwork just a while back and, I was also thinking of a nice concept for my next artwork. I remembered a former Fantaserye from ABS-CBN entitled "Dyosa" which features Anne Curtis, and she portrays a Goddess with three powers and Personality a mermaid - water, winged creature - wind, and a centaur for earth. So I came up with my own concept based from the previous show, check it out:



I was actually Inspired by the show since I felt like I was the "Itinakda" since I felt like the world is my responsibility, and I feel like it's was always me and why me? But then again, everything happens for a reason. I did the artwork to relieve me from my stress of so many things. But like what my friend told me last night just pray and all will turn and from the song that I have in my HD (Hard Disk), the lyrics goes "When problems come just keep the faith, It won't be long until the day, Things will turn around if you just, If you just stand your ground ", you get my point right?

About the title, I chose to have it named as "Anak ng Dyosa" because, definitely I can't be "Dyosa" and it would sound awkward or absurd if I would call myself as "Dyos", right? I guess, you know what I mean...

Hope you guys like it as I have liked it too :-)

What can you say about this remix?

I was busy the whole day, not to mention I had to work on some tasks but, while tuning in to YouTube, I came across this video containing a remix from Mariah Carey's song entitled "H.A.T.E. U" featuring Gucci Mane, OJ da Juiceman, JD, and Big Boi check it out:



I love the remix although it's a song for a guy sung by a girl, and it features samples from a good old school song "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJ's. One thing I've noticed nowadays is that, the trend in coming up with singles or remixes is by having a revival or samples from old songs, but that was just an observation, I am not againts the trend or what or even this remix that I'm featuring. But guess what, I guess it's not a big deal if I like it right? Anyway, I just wanted to share myself though...

And guess what, I was listening to this song the whole afternoon...

CCS Nyt 2010

Once again, we re approaching the month of march and of course, the much awaited CCS Night Celebration. This year's theme is focused on CosPlay. With that, I made a poster for our simple event, check this out:



The characters that are featured on the poster were drawn in Adobe Illustrator CS4 and were colored in Adobe Photoshop CS4. Regarding the date on the poster, I hope it will be moved. Trust me, it's hard organizing and preparing for an activity with so many other deadlines being cooked on the way. But anyhow, this too will pass, agree?

Hopefully the characters that I've drawn can be distinguished which is which. Can you guess who are they? Here is a hint, 3 of the characters featured on the poster are video game characters while 2 of them came from 2 top-hitting anime shows.

Moments I've missed

It's been a while since I've been with my co-officers in the University and while scanning some of my photos I came across this pic that caught my attention:

This picture was taken during the last day of our Year-End Evaluation held at Fontana Leisure Parks at the month of May. Although not all of us were here, still we savored each moments for this is the last for us Solarians(a term used to address the USC-CSC-PIO '08-'09). I miss those times, reunion anyone?

This Lenten Season

As of February 17, the Season of Lent came to a start. and with that, I got an inspiration to come up with a Lenten inspired artwork, check this out:


This is my digital Drawing entitled "Our Lady of Sorrows". I drew this using a Wacom Bamboo Tablet. and this is the first time I drew in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

The image may be a little bit of grotesque, this image is my version of the "Weeping Madonna".
